An overwhelming amount of artists marshaled their work for another artist, Rose Marcus, in her time of need after an unexpected surgery to remove a tumor. The benefit operates as an homage and an offering for Rose's recovery and her continuation as a young artist, organizer, academic and friend. The contributors united behind this conceit: “We are not only dedicated proprietors of our own work, but we can also use ourselves, our agency and our artwork to provide shelter and preservation to other artists' practice when hardship arises.”
Works will be on view at Cleopatra's and for sale via Paddle8.com
All proceeds go to Rose Marcus.
