About the artist
R. H. Quaytman was born in 1961 in Boston, Massachusetts, and currently lives in New York City. Her work incorporates abstraction and layers of diamond dust, silkscreened photographs and hand-painted trompe l'oeil, personal and art-historical narratives. Quaytman's work is on view at this year's Venice Biennale and has been shown at the Whitney Biennial (2010) and at solo shows at SF MoMA (2010) and Kunsthalle Basel (2011).
