Andrew Steele Dieck and Roger van Voorhees read poems at: Clifton Benevento, 515 Broadway, New York, NY - October 27th, 7 PM

STRAIGHT READING NO CHASER

NO ONE NIGHT ONLY SCULPTURE

NO LOUNGE SINGERS (smuh (Tony Clifton we love you but it wouldn't be your scene, and that's our loss, not yours))

NO SITUATION OF READING EVENT (Please Note: future readings may still be subject to situation as outlined in article 46-C)

ANDREW STEELE DIECK READS HIS BRAND SPANKING NEW X-FILES POEMS, WITH IMAGE PROJECTIONS ON THE GREAT WHITE WALL (WHALE)

ROGER VAN VOORHEES DRESSES UP LIKE A NICE YOUNG MAN, SITS DOWN, TALKS NEW AND RELATIVELY NEW POEMS TO AN AUDIENCE, IN AN INTIMATE, RELATIVELY UN-INFLATED MANNER

FEEL FREE TO COME BE PART OF AN AUDIENCE LISTENING TO AND SEEING ANDREW AND ROGER READ AND TALK POEMS OUT LOUD

OR COME TO OBSERVE PASSIVELY FROM JUST BEYOND/ OUTSIDE OF THE AUDIENCE-CLUSTER

OR SHOW UP LATE IN A LATE AGE FOR THE AFTER-PARTY ONLY

ANY AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION BEYOND THE COMMONLY "MAGICAL" RELAY VIA VERBAL TRANSPOSITION OF THE CURIOUSLY SELF-ACTIVATED FIELD OF CONTENT-CONCEPTUALIZATION-AS-TEXT-ON-THE-8 1/2" x 11"-STANDARD-FORMAT-PAGE INTO SOCIO-LINGUISTICALLY SHAPED SOUND SHARED AND DELIVERED WITH OUR BEST POSSIBLE EFFORTS AS A GIFT AWAY FROM ALL HUMAN MEANING WILL NOT BE FORCEFULLY DISSIPATED, THOUGH MOST LIKELY IGNORED AND DISLIKED

"WE" CONSTRUCT MIRRORS REFLECTING FACE IN ACCORD WITH TERMS OF A LANGUAGE OF THE ABSOLUTELY ALIEN, GREAT WHITE WALL (GREAT WHITE WHALE)

"WE" ARE NOT REALLY ALL THAT ROMANTIC, PLEASE DON'T WORRY

"WE" MIGHT STILL BE LEARNING HOW POEMS CAN TEACH US TO IMAGINE THEMSELVES AS PUBLICLY HERMETIC FORMS OF BEHAVIOR

"WE" WANT YOU TO DO WHAT YOU WANT US TO WANT YOU TO DO

"WE" ARE MOST OF ALL INTERESTED IN YOUR MONEY

AND IF YOU SHOW UP LATE IN A LATE AGE YOU MIGHT JUST HAPPEN TO BE RIGHT ON TIME, JUST MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER TO CLOSE THE DOOR BEHIND YOU...

"...as gently as possible..."

Thanks From: the artist: ZAK KITNIK, the gallerists: MICHAEL CLIFTON, MICHAEL BENEVENTO, and the poets behind this reading
